No. 29 Power Station West Battersea

No. 29 Power Station West is one of the first restaurants to open in the new development in Battersea Power Station. There will be many more to come, it seems. The place is pleasantly decorated maybe entirely by loaf. To clarify, this isn’t a criticism. I love loaf. I wish I could afford loaf.

The restaurant, which serves up high end pub grub-esque plates and cocktails had been open about 3 days when I ventured in looking like I had been dragged through a shrub backwards whilst exhausted and sweatily pushing my buggy. The service was well oiled, polite and accommodating considering how brand new the place is. There were a lot of families with children of varying ages dining and little succulents adorning each table.

What’s good? A beautiful smokey creme brûlée with passion fruit. Lovely rich beef and black pudding croquettes. The rotisserie chickens.

Kid friendly? Yes, although the baby change is locked and accessible by a hidden elevator, you need to ask for access.
