The Cheese Bar Camden

Sometimes I like to set myself a challenge. The Cheese bar is nearly 2 hours from our house so firstly getting there is a mission, secondly it is (despite the waitstaffs lovely attitude toward Max,) maybe the least baby friendly place you can eat. But I love cheese and I read the menu and I thought I’m not going to let all this stand in my way so off we went.

The Cheese Bar is located in Camden Market, there’s a few steps to get in but we managed with the buggy, inside there is absolutely only space for one buggy and you will need to move it for people to get around the communal table with stool seating. That’s right, stools. No highchairs. And stools. My mum and I took turns holding Max whilst he squirmed and got fed poutine.

It’s a light space with big slabs of marble for its main table and the restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful considering they should have absolutely told us not to eat there with a 15 month old. Everything on the menu features cheese and if you like cheese it is wonderful. Best avoided if lactose intolerant.

What’s good? The marmite malakof and the blue cheese raclette we’re both superb.

Kid friendly? Lol. Don’t do it.
