Comptoir Libanais Haymarket

The kind people at Jams PR invited us down to sample the meze at Comptoir Libanais haymarket and I know what you’re thinking. Emily doesn’t do chains. Well. Sometimes I do. If they’re good. And Comptoir is.

I am fully in love with the interiors in these jazzy restaurants. So brightly coloured. It just feels fun, The service is incredibly friendly and it’s an easy place to take kids. Especially if they like hummus and flat bread which Max does. See also the baba ghanuj.

There’s plenty of space for buggies and a menu packed with Lebanese goodness. We went for meze and tagines and baklava but I’m reliably informed that all their desserts are stellar.

What’s good? The beetroot labne and baklava were the highlights for us but it was all fab. They also do a mean breakfast and even have an allergen friendly menu available.

Kid friendly? Absolutely. No baby change but they’ve got a decent sized disabled loo.
