Newly opened Sparrow is a frantic diamond in the rough. They’re still working out the kinks – when we went for brunch it was cash only and several items on the menu weren’t available ‘yet’ – but the cooking is very fine, as to be expected from the ex-St. John chefs running the kitchen. These guys know what they’re doing.
You’ll need to make a reservation, they were turning people away throughout our meal but service is speedy and attentive. It’s also crash bang loud due to the open kitchen, great for babies who like noise and bustle. If this place was my local, I’d have a standing reservation each weekend.
What’s good? The coconut, caramel peanut and pineapple pancakes were phenomenal.
Kid friendly? Yep, just let ’em know if you’re bringing and buggy if you can’t fold it.
