Bancone Piccadilly

If there was only one food that I was allowed to eat for the rest of my life it would be pasta. And London has no shortage of affordable fresh pasta joints these days, Padella, Pastaio, Emilia’s, Lina Stores but Bancone is the newest and also I think, the best.

The restaurant is long and thin and will be a tight squeeze for even a narrow buggy, I rarely recommend this but unless you have a baby under six months in a sling, I’d say save Bancone for a time when a babysitter can be acquired. For the more adventurous diners with children of course it could be done but not easily and sometimes it’s nice just to enjoy your beautiful pasta alone.

The staff here are bend over backwards friendly, (they found space to store my husband’s banjo which was purchased on a whim before dinner) the plating of the food is stunning and everything was absolutely delicious. Most importantly though, it won’t break the bank but you’ll leave feeling extravagant.

What’s good? All the pasta. And the burrata. And the chocolate brûlée. Ooft.

Kid friendly? Scusami no.
