Padella is wildly popular for good reason. It is excellent and it is cheap. Due to its popularity I wouldn’t recommend taking a baby. It’s just too cramped, the queues are long and there’s no reservations.
The restaurant is simply dressed, dimly lit, and quite sexy actually, it lends itself to impressing a date, but if you’re desperate to try the incredible pasta then wack your baby in a sling. Older children will find a dish they like and as it’s small plates, recommended for sharing they’re already child sized.
What’s good? The cacio e pepe and the beef shin ragu (pictured above) when they’re serving them, the menu is subject to change.
Kid friendly? You can make it work but I’d rather make it a date and leave the kids at home.
