The Henrietta Hotel, boutique, bohemian and painstakingly thought out, houses Ollie Dabbous new venture, Henrietta. It is beautiful and chic and tasteful but also despite its high endedness, comfortable and almost casual. Almost.
Henrietta is trendy, Prada bag territory but no one seemed especially perturbed by my 7 month old accessory. He did squawk a few times and it wasn’t quite loud enough in the restaurant to cover us. The highchairs here are very sleek and attractive which compliments the decor but also means that Max sort of slid around in it a little bit and in the end preferred to be held. This is hardly a complaint though. Sorry that your highchairs are too nice. I mean come on. I am picking holes where there are no holes.
Henrietta ticks all the boxes for excellent food and almost all the boxes for child friendliness. The service was also excellent, we were very late arriving to our reservation (I called because I’m not a savage) and they were beyond gracious about it. In future though I would ask for a less central table if dining with a baby to avoid each squeal becoming a focal point for everyone and their lovely handbags.
What’s good? My ribeye was superb, as was the lamb, the white peach and burrata perfectly delicate and the chocolate truffles infused with pencil shavings were bizarrely wonderful.
Kid friendly? Yes darling, of course.
