Zelman meats is part of a big group of restaurants that know what to do with a cut of beef. They run a short menu which always pleases me because it means they’ve perfected the five things they serve. I also really love a place that has decided to call once of its sauces ‘holy fuck Mayo’. It’s not an inappropriate name.

Full disclosure, I went here sans Max when I wanted a steak real bad on a Thursday afternoon during a break from work but they have highchairs and it’s quite spacious and when I asked about bringing kids they were pretty much like HELLS YEAH.

It’s worth noting that it is a dark and moody place and there are some pictures of nude ladies on the walls in some areas of the restaurant but the service was excellent and the steak was even better.

What’s good? The Argentinian cut of steak. The holy fuck Mayo with its proper sized prawns.

Kid friendly? Yup.
