The Parenthood Chiswick

I’m never really sure if places like The Parenthood Cafe actually belong on this blog or not  but content is content so here we are. Located in lovely, leafy Chiswick is the firs place I’ve seen that could have given The Corner House a run for its money before it sadly closed. This is a tastefully decorated play cafe, designed with Instagram mums in mind (They even sell Selfish Mother apparel).

There’s buggy parking and a dedicated area for the smaller bubbas, as well as a short but sweet list of brunch options, some pastries and cakes, decent coffee and a kids menu. There’s also a studio downstairs with an array of classes for half pints plus baby change and a toddler seat on the loo.

As tasteful as it is, at the end of the day it is still a play cafe so it’s small and chaotic and not as tidy as we always hope for however it’s probably (until the corner house hopefully reopens) the best play cafe in London right now but pickings remain slim though innit.

What’s good? I wouldn’t travel for the food alone here. It’s perfectly acceptable but nothing to write home about. The play areas are lovely and the staff are nice. If you’re local I imagine this place is a godsend for exhausted mothers trying to get coffee, smashed avo on toast and 5 minutes reprieve.
