Homies on Donkeys Walthamstow

Homies on Donkeys is little more than a hole in a wall in an indoor market all the way up in Walthamstow village. They have a menu of precisely 5 options and it is cheap as chips or in this case, tacos.

The locals all know of its existence so you are in for a bit of a wait once you’ve ordered. There’s some counter seating but if you’ve got kids in tow they’ll need to remain in the buggy because otherwise they will run away and go and touch/eat the entire contents of the old school sweet stall opposite.

This is not an especially family friendly option. There’s just no room for it. But it is good. And you can get take out. We paired our visit to Homies on Donkeys with a trip to Gods Own Junkyard which is nearby and if our toddler hadn’t been in such a foul mood then I would have rated the whole experience very highly.

What’s good? The chicken adobo tacos. The pork ones burnt my face off but I know some people are into that. The price.

Kid friendly? Lol.
