So. I’m probably not going to win any friends here but Megan’s is a solid place to get a coffee and not much more than that. Sorry. It’s nice. It’s ok. The service is sort of patchy but they are filled to the brim with people with babies and dogs so it is still a haven of sorts. I appreciate it has somewhat of a following because it is accessible and it’s got loads of flowers on its ceiling but that does not a good restaurant make.
There are a number of quite nice dishes, the kids menu isn’t at all bad but there are some real bum notes here too. I’m looking at you courgette and feta fritter. Or is that just wet cardboard roughly squished into the shape of a discus. I honestly couldn’t tell.
What’s good? The coffee, the decor, the half baked cookie dough thingy. The halloumi fries are alright.
Kid friendly? Very.
